Wu style Tai Chi has two main forms: Large frame and Small frame which involves compact circular movements. Its focus is central equilibrium to cultivate health, with each movement benefiting the joints, ligaments, tendons through the manipulation of internal energy – Qi.
During the practice of the form the transition from one movement to another should be fluid.
In total the small frame consists of 108 distinct but connected movements. It can at first seem a lot to learn but learning in sections through regular practice all ages and abilities can do well. Learning in a class with a good teacher is the best and most enjoyable path to success.
